I just went to the IMDB site and the many comments about the movie are spot on. At the time of the viewing, I thought of this film a feeble attempt about racism and morality, but was impressed by the skill, acting, and cinematography. Many years later, I realized that it was such a daring subject that virtually NO movies have been made that even touched on these topics. That's why I began to appreciate this movie more. You may think of it as shallow and not up to your standard, but it is still one of the best in its genre.
