I think somebody in CA should lead a policital fund and collect donations to find a political consultant to target these potential candidates and do something.
If you oppose SCA5, why not start writing to your state assembly
First of all, I am not a CA resident but strongly oppose any race based admission criteria. The SCA5 is heading to the CA assembly which to my understanding is similar to the House of Representatives in many areas. The bill needs a majority to pass, which is 67%, or 54 votes. Democrats account for 55 members. If you can win 2 out of them to vote against the bill, it wont pass. I will start with the areas with the majority of White and Asian combined. I am not familiar with the districts, but just a quick search I found Phil Ting (District 19th, San Fransico), and Chris Holden (41st, Pansadena). Another thought is to have blue Democrats or represantatives elected through close races.
