how to find the place to research to get in intel or Siemens c

 How to get in the intel or siemens  competition?

my son is 11 grade  and  he sent several e-mails to professors to ask research inter-ship  in top ten  engineer program  near by college but he didn't get any reply  from those professor..
any suggestion or advice
