大妈，纠正你一下，你女儿和你应该是interpreter, 不是translator

translators主要是翻译书面的，interpreters是口译。
我正好工作的机构两种翻译都需要，区别很明显。

the difference between interpreting and translation is  the difference in the medium: the interpreter translates orally, while a translator interprets written text。
