Incompetent bunch at congress actually came up with a deal before the cliff :-P

as a result, VIX is at an extremely low level with short covering after the deal. 

the deal is a partial solution, there are still uncertainty

this created a good oppotunity to trade VIX (by using future, or VXX or VXXY)

VIX Index is currently at 13.71

cut loss if it goes below 13

take profit if it goes to 20
