J has been my daughter’s best friend for a few years. She is a well-bred girl with elegancy. Now both of them are in the advanced Math and English classes. They are homework buddies, which mean that they do homework together or discuss it over the phone.
We live in a republican neighborhood and J’s parents are Republicans full heartily. J is a pretty girl as well, if a boy wants her attention, he will chant “Obama, Obama”. But she walks away and her mind says “let’s see”.
When the election result came out yesterday, my daughter said “J must be very upset, I am going to call her and comfort her”. Then she did, and I heard the crying from the phone in speaker mode. J even fell from her chair to the floor and claimed that her life is over.
As for myself, I became more conservative as I grew. I voted for Romney, and so did my daughter. But how upset was she? She was laying her new game without stopping while I was delivering a nonsense comments about this election. Obviously, I was upset.
My hu*****and, an Obama voter, leaned over my shoulder, saying “How about we move to Utal, Romney’s hometown? What do you say?” I kicked his butt.
