Take him to the swimming pool and let him play toys. Don't push him and wait until he is ready then you can talk about lessons again.
As for math, do you think about another way to approach the problem? He is either not ready or the method of teaching is not fit him. Everybody is different and he may needs different way of approaching.
Don't worry and he will be fine.
