It has nothing to with his 谦虚

If i had a daugther like his, I would be even more showing off. Nothing is wrong about showing off. Why hide your child's accomplishment. But it is misleading to imply playing chess will give a kid extra advantage. If his daughter does not play chess, with her accomplishment in chess, I belive she can also do very very good in math and can still get into Yale. I respect his sucess, but for this article, at least in my eye, it is not accurate, especially to parents whose children just started chess.
