was VERY disappointed w/ what I found.  Nevertheless, these were young students.  The major blame lies squarely on the government that used its military INFANTRY to kill its civilians.  Whatever mistakes the students made, there is such simply no justification (excuse) to shoot them!  What could the government use rubber bullets, tear gas and other non-lethal weapons (S. Korea has plenty of these to sell)?  The government (actually a few in charge, illegally I might add as they did not have any top government or party positions) really wanted, as Deng put it, teach them a lesson.  It is sad that there are so many people strongly justify the government's brutality, when the government itself has tried very hard to downplay this and hope people would simply forget!
