It depnds more on the schools.  Variation in financial aid between schools are quite large sometimes.  Usually, if you use your contribution  (EFC) for a single college student as base of 100, 2 kids attending colleges at the same time will cost you about 120 (60*2), 3 kids about 135 (45*3).  I don't remember exactly but it's close to these numbers.
