10年以前，当时在GSK（也是制药公司）工作的Ann Miller用arsenic毒死了在UNC搞科研的丈夫Eric Miller，当时他们也有一个一两岁的女儿。Ann在公司有个第三者，事发后，第三者受不了温度，自杀了。后来Ann竟然在被调查和被逮捕前又婚。最终，她还是认了罪，判了25年。女儿由Eric的父母和Ann的姐姐姐夫共同监护。
