我来说说我的经历.

大约10十年前吧,我和一同一公司工作的 CARPOOL. 平时我们总是在古定的地点碰头,然后CARPOOL(最主要是为省过桥费). 有一天我的车要去修,修的地点是在他家附近,也在BART STATION附近，为了他的方便(Bart station is easy to find). 我叫他来ＢＡＲＴ接我．我站在ＢＡＲＴ站的ＢＵＳ Station 附近(it's not bus station)等．他开车来看到我，很自然地停在我站地方接我．就在他准备开车离开时，被拦下．吃了＄２２０罚单（told us the whole lane is for bus, can not do any stop on the lane).

I typed Chinese too slow, have to leave soon, so switch to English.

I told my friend that's my fault because I asked him to pick me up at Bart statsion. I will take care the bill. In the evening on the way back he told me that his wife said to him the bill should be shared because he is the person driving. He insistent on paying the half of the ticket. To be honest, I really don't want him to pay any. We were auguing quite bit. He eventually just left $110 bill on my car and left.

Sometimes, money is just something come and go, your reputation to other friends is more important than money. Second, I first already said that I will take care the bill, he and his wife(he told his wife in the day), felt I am nice person, so they also want nice to me, have good reputition in my mind. At least we can continue to be friend(we used to be just carpool friend, not very close type of friend).
