It's more like 美国社会是 花街惯坏了的孩子until 2006.
American people had been used as the tool of the capitalist's money-compounding game until then.

to all of you crying about capitalism(ZT)
Well, actually to all of you crying about capitalism, patriotism, and American CEO's blah blah. America is where it is today, due to nations like Great Britain, mercantilism, colonialism, and capitalism and then outsourcing. We were the China, Vietnam, Mexico to Great Britain. They outsourced their labor and manufacturing in order to maximize profit (as our companies are doing exactly today). At first they merely took the raw materials, cotton from US and then India, wood, iron, etc back to GB to manufacture the goods and then re-ship them and sell them back to the colonies or other nations on Earth. Eventually the workers and Unions and government demanded more and more parts of the pie, until it was too expensive (vis a vie and relative to profit) to keep doing things in GB. Then they outsourced, or American companies (at first) were more competitive and cost effective than GB produced goods. And they fell into 2nd world status- you have rich and you have the rest in GB- no middle class. The US is at that tipping point or beyond it already. But my point is that to decry what is happening is merely ignorance of how we got here and why you even can decry the outsourcing. Its a long term capitalist trend which benefited us, and now is to our detriment. I dont get the crying- you cant have your cake and eat it to. Be thankful we can cry about it, but do something about it also- BE COMPETITIVE, NOT GREEDY WORKERS.
