For the food, depends on what your party type is. If the party package for kids includes lunch and they have time for lunch, then you might want to provide food for parents also. It is not required, but all parties I attented provide food for adults. If all kids are young like 2 years old, parents might need to help their kids for lunch. Other than that, party host will do most job, and what parents do at that time, especially, it is lunch time. But you need to check with your party place first to make sure the rules for food.
