same situation and same age as my son. You need to let (force) him to read much more story books at this age and ask him to play with little sister. science books have facts which do not help much with social skills... We let our son to teach his sister letters, number or sth - that's the way he establishes friendship and relationship with others. I don't mind a record in high school - it might help him going to a good college. It might also help if anything bad happens in the future. good luck and don't worry. I think staying here is a better choice for these kinds of kids.
