my son(7y) gave all his toys away and claim: other kids like

toys more than he does. but for money, he kept very detail records for even each penny: when he got money and the total at that day. when he want some thing, I will suggest half and half we both pay. he usually back off and said money is only for college and books. no ideal how he act this way. no one in my family act this way and no one teach him about money. maybe this is his nature.
