Don't do it, for the sake of the child.

No matter what, unless the father abuses the child, a child lives a better life with two married parents (vs a single mother). If you do have 亲情, your action should base on the best interests of the CHILD.

(I do not think you have the right to do it without the consent of the mother, anyway.)
