And, it is also possible that many pianos in the sale are not used by the institution. The dealer just move the pianos from its showroom to the sale site. And sell the pianos under the name of that sale. The customers like "specials" and trust the institutions a lot more than the dealers.
The price is good for an individual sale. However, many here will tell you that you can get the similar price if you do the so-call "group purchase".
