Would you please share your waterpark tips!!!

Exciting - First time visiting a water park with 5 year old in two days - Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Waterpark. But a lot of UNKNOWNs ...
What do I need to bring? How to hold those items when we are taking ride? What do you do with Cell phone, IDs, Money (I mean where to store them? (bring a waterproof bag?)

Items I can think of:
Swimming suite, bath towel, sunscreen
