shiny finishes, such as shiny black or shiny mahogany (also called polished ebony or polished mahogany). If your piano falls into this category, the finish is made of polyester. Then, you may use 3M's Hand Glaze to take off minor scratches on finish. If anything more than very light scratches, you need hand-held buffer/polisher to do the job. At this point, I would leave it to the pros, unless you are experienced to handle the job. Do NOT use the Glaze on lacquered finishes.

BTW, if you need to polish the brass part, use Brasso.
