If I were you, I would delay a year

My old son's birthday is just before the cut-off. Academically, he was always on top. But he never got chance to develop his leadership ability since other kids were much mature than him, especially girls. It was a big disadvantage for him. These disadvantages began to show starting middle school. My little son's birthday is just after the cut-off. I saw that he got lot opportunities to lead other kids in school. I am not saying that my younger one will become a leader. I am saying that he at lease gets more opportunities to try it out. But every kid is different. Yours can be very mature even he is younger than other.
