you probably are using fixed-do solfege, though it also sings in "do, re, mi". Most people are familiar with movable-do solfege, with which 简谱 is associated. I do not think there is a problem if you have already taught your daughter the fixed-do solfege. While most of the teachers are using A,B,C in US, Yamaha is still using fixed-do solfege (in US). They even believe that the kids have better chance to establish AP if they are taught in fixed-do solfege. It is possible.
