5 years for Ph.D. and 3 years for M.D.

However, Ph.D. may take less time if he/she is lucky. I helped one student to start her Ph.D., and she finished her Ph.D. in 3 years, a record. Her hu*****and took longer to finish his Ph.D. than the total years for her for both degree. I also saw a lot of students who gave up the Ph.D. degrees after 5 years. They only take the tuition-free M.D. program and the M.D. degree, which I called "Money Doctor".

Just helped my boss to choose 2 Ph.D/M.D. studnets. Too many students want to stay after their rotation. We only have money to take two this year.
