Admire your way of spending. Not my cup of tea, though

I am 35 this year and never a big spender. Whenever I see people spend about 10k on a bag or 5k on a piece of cloth, I am just amazed by how rich people are. It is really a personal choice. I am happy for you as you have the money to buy things you like.

I had been using school backpack for a long time. My first handbag costs $48 and I used for 3 years. Then I bought a bigger one about $200 and have used it for half a year. Everthing goes in there, wallet, cell phone, notepad, company id, even my laptop sometime. And I used it everyday, eveytime I go out. (That way, I will never forget anything). I think I can used it for about 5 years.
I think luxury things are like arts. One kind of art can bring some people happiness, joy, or peace. While others may not like it at all. The level of appreciation varies among people too. I prefer variaty in life. That is why I choose not to spend too much money on a single item that can keep me excited for a couple of months. Or you can call me poor or cheap. Besides, I need to raise my children, pay the mortgage, plan to change the family cars and to buy a big house within 5 years. I want to take my mom for a tour in Paris, or a full medical checkup in the U.S. That bag can be a nice vacation package or a set of furniture at home.
I think if you have more way to spend your money, you will find greater joy that money can bring you other than a bag. But if it brings you plenty of joy for several years to come, be my guest. Buy it and enjoy it.
