First of all, I rarely ever use 5 min charts. Too much noise, or I simply can not handle them~~;

Secondly, I check spy as a reference to trade my individual stocks. The practice is like this: I put both of them into the exact same time frame. In other words, I only care/follow the time frame I'm trading in.
