昨天去听孩子们的cluster consert

Senior high school and its feeding middle schools and junior high schools play together. 五百多人联合演奏三首乐曲， 我见过阵容最大的乐队。不同初中学校各个等级（Advanced, Intermediate and Beginners) 的乐队再联合演奏两首。感觉美国的音乐教育相当不错。

表演到最后一首时，Senior High的director 说，现在的SAT总分是2400，全美平均是1500多（我记不得多多少），本州平均是1485, 本高中平均是1700多（参加Duke TIP的七年级学生很多都已经达到甚至高于这个分数了）。本高中弦乐队平均是2000出头。所以孩子学音乐SAT成绩不但不下降，还大大提高。呵呵！
