Scott M. Moore, Louisville, graduated from Princeton in June with highest honors in public
and international affairs. He is currently on a Fulbright Fellowship in China in ecology and
environmental studies. A Truman Scholar, Scott was co-chair of The Daily Princetonian
editorial board and was active on University committees on sustainability, international
studies, religious life, and equal opportunity. He has also published several articles in politics
and international relations. Scott plans to do the M.Sc. in nature, society and environmental
policy at Oxford.
Kyle Q. Haddad-Fonda, Issaquah, is a senior at Harvard where he majors in history and neareastern
languages and education. Fluent in Mandarin and Arabic, he did research in China
and Egypt for his senior thesis on Sino-Arab relations. Kyle was captain of the Harvard 2008
national college bowl championship team and plays the harp in the Mozart Society orchestra.
He plans to do a doctorate in oriental studies at Oxford.
Mallory A. Dwinal, Gig Harbor, is a senior at Northwestern University with majors in
Spanish, economics, and international studies. She also studied in Qinghua University in
Beijing. In 2006, Mallory founded a program that coordinates and funds English as a second
language education in Chicago elementary schools. Also since 2006, she has been leader of a
daily meals program at a homeless shelter. She is ranked among the top college students in
the country in impromptu and extemporaneous speaking. Mallory plans to do the M.Phil. in
comparative and international education at Oxford.

majors in political science and history. A junior member of Phi Beta Kappa, he has done
research on U.S.-China relations and other aspects of east asian affairs. He has been a starter
on the UCLA rugby team since his freshman year, and was captain as a sophomore. Scott is
also president of his fraternity, a leader of youth groups against violence in Los Angeles, and
was a leader in the Bruins for Obama campaign. At Oxford, Scott plans to do the M.Phil. in
international relations.
