What do you think define 申请 top university 的资格? GPA and test score? passion? desire? Personal motivation? etc etc.

We heard a presentation at S from a boy who is from an inner city school. Their highest math class was home ecomnomy (something like that). Most of the kids do not go to college. But this body decided that he wants to make a difference and get opportunities for himself. He got in.

S said that 17% of their enrolled students are the very first person in their family to attend a 4 year college. You think these kids used GPA nd test scores as their 资格?
