Same as my child

My son is extremely smart, but behaviorally lagged behind. I was bugged by teachers for three years - teachers of different age, different teaching experience, some I liked and some I didn't.

Teachers here have behavioral expectations for the kids. If a child doesn't meet the expectation, they contact the parents. It is how it works in the school system here - so there is no need to over-react and blame the teacher or the child. On the other hand, some teachers do have higher tolerance for "trouble makers", some have lower. Some teachers click with a child, some don't. Just tell the teacher that you will cooperate with her and work with your child. Things will improve over the next few years.
