I Hear Oregon Singing
I hear Oregon singing, the diverse verses I hear.
Those of the baker, humming as he does his job,
Mixing and stirring.
The engineers singing on their way to work,
Ready for another day of stress.
The fisherman singing merrily, as he sells his load of fish and seafood.
The shoe seller working at the freshly cleaned counter,
Polishing and arranging comfortable and stylish shoes.
The soft and soothing voice of the mother
Cradling the baby,
Or the old lady baking gingersnaps,
Or of the young girl sewing and washing,
Her voice blithe and strong.
Each tune belongs to him or her, and no one else,
The day what belongs to the day-at night the part of young fellows, robust, friendly,
Singing with open mouths, showing the world that they are proud of who they are.

Oregon has countless phenomenal sights,
The vegetations are forever shining bright.
Birds soar high doing twists in the sky,
When it rains, the giant emerald trees keep us dry!
The cool breeze in the spring,
Make bells of joy ring.
The hot humid air of the summer,
To not stay in and watch T.V. is such a bummer.
The vivid colors of the leaves in the fall,
It’s the best time to get dressed up and go to a ball!
Snow as white as fleece drifting down,
There’s lots of Christmas shopping you could do in town.
Oregon is a great place to explore,
It is the place that I adore!
