my DD applied to 8 schools, only 4 were her picks. The other 4 were 100% my idea.

I asked her to put state U as a safety, Duke, Vandy as match because, historically, every student from her HS with similar stats got into those two. I also pshed harvard on her because my own Harvard "dreams".
