We are in Dallas, Carrollton area.
We are in the debate of choosing what kind of school is good for my 4.5 year old daughter. She has very strong personal characters, very strong mind wills from her own. And we both are very busy and weren't able to spend a lot of time with her (this is not an excuse, just a fact of our current life style and we all wish we can change that). And the public school in our area is not good. So we are thinking if we should send her to private school ...
- May be the teacher will have better control (or pay more attention) of her so she will listen
- She will learn if she will listen
In our mind, we want the teacher to be able to somehow push/force her a little. Otherwise all she wants is to play.
Give an example, we send her to weekend draw/art class, she loves to go to class. But she almost doesn't want to do the homework from the class during the weekdays (就像一个钢琴老师对我说的:小孩子都喜欢弹琴,却不喜欢练琴).
We also send her to Ballet class, but she just didn't really follow instructor's instructions unless a very strict teacher to force her do it again again. But you know a lot of American teacher will not do that. they want the kids to do it on their own. We think, this kind of teaching style will not fit my daughter. So we are hoping private school will be a better choice for her?
