teach kids to be fair,kind and generous first, then

to be excellent in academia. don't know the detail of those two kids, but in general, society benifits more from the people willing to share their talents and wealth. I always tell my kid: not everyone can be excellent in everything, that needs talents and hard works, so, i will be satified if he tries his best. but everyone can be fair and kind to others, the more you helping others, the happier you will be. my goal for my kid is not going to Ivy league school or to be a CEO, but to be a happy person in his life. compared to scores and awards, there are too few people talk about their kids' happiness.
