I had some consultation with Dr. in U.S.. My impression is that it is the only effective way to remove the acne scar. The skin resurfacing is a very aggressive treatment (cost about $3000), the down time is about 2 weeks. Somebody said the face looked like a raw hamburger meat afterward. Another choice is the fraxel treatment which treat only fraction of the skin at the time, it is less down time but need more than one treatment. Consult with your local laser center they should be able to help you. If you just want to lightening the color of the acne scare, facial would help (chemical peel or microdermabrasion).
