Either GOP or DEM will spend your money, one way

or another. GOP will spend the money on defence, they also will gorget "Free market" to interfer market like current real estate crisis. Dem will spend money on social welfare, education. You are right, most time the govement managed business turns to be low efficient. But sometime the country needs balance to curb much fraud in business taking the advantage "free market", like Enron, money lending.... If the country has no govement interferance(to certain extent), like wild west 200 years ago, the economy won't develop in current large scale
