M1A2 isn't that good at all. Once upon a time, when the Sweden army was trying to pick one tank for their own use, they considered their own S-tank, M1A2, Leopard2 and others. The result is that they picked Leopard2, because to accomplish the same task, the cost of operating Leopard2 is only 1/6 of M1A2. M1A2 is using the same gun as Leopard2. It may or may not have better armor protection, However, its gas turbine sux, which will burn 14 gallon in order to make 1 mile! (think about your SUV? :) ) ...
