They tried to force Yen and Yuan to appriaciate against dollar many times. But it worked on Yen but not Yuan.
If Chinese and Japanese start to buy US goods or services, then US does not need to print money. Inside US, dollar is running out. Somehow foreigners are willing to hold dollars like gold instead of buying US stuff (of course, books and Hollywood movies are pirated and 0 paid).
