If you exit too early and the stock IS a winner, you could always reenter during pullback, as long as it has not lost steam.
Again, based my own experience, newer candidates have a much bigger reward/risk ratio. Plus, I always have tight stops.
Frankly, I like CASHing my profit. By doing this, I don't feel falling into any kinds of "traps" at all. Furthermore, there are always plenty of good opportunities out there. Miss this one? Move on.
