When engine is cold, park your car on a flat level, pull out the oil stick to see how much the oil level is above the upper mark (the upper mark is for hot engine but just use it as a reference point). If the oil level is within 10mm above the mark, it won't cause big problem even though not recommended. If more than that, draw it out with a hose or loose the oil plug on oil pan under the engine to let it out some.
This is a small thing so don't be panic.
