To see her potential. Some technical skills has to be developed at an early age. My personal opinion is to put piano first. Kids at certain age have to realize they have to learn concentrate and make choices. To be a pro means to work on the instrument of choice at least 4 hours a day. Ask her if she can handle both, apart from other things.
