Looks like the arthur does not have children. Based on my observation, the biggest impact of sending young kids back home without parents is the re-adjustment and re-bonding with parents when they come back here.
If he/she read any books on raising a child or has raised a child, he/she will understand how big deal this is to a very young child. I saw lots of personality issues, discipline issues, etc that to me most time, doesn't worth the time/effort saved for the parent. Plus, if for first time parents, it's even worse, because the parent lost the opportunity to 'learn' how to be a parent, how to establish the bonding and the authority as a parent.
If LZ choose to leave the kid to grow up in China, with grand parents, then go for it. The kid will grow up fine, and treat whomever raise her/him as parents.
