A serious business, as it sounds, requires a serious

business road map.

What category of partner(s) are you seeking? If you think just because you have a prototype, doesn't mean it will turn a profit within the time frame you promised.

Tell me how did you come up with this 1.5 years?
Have you thought about sales support, or dealing with returned merchandises? What's the liabilities and consumer laws?

First and foremost, you need a serious business plan. Assuming you correctly estimated the plan cost and made integrated master schedule, and assuming this is just the first round of funding as you know it, sourcing, OEM, export/import, distribution, installations usually would make you planned schedule triple-delayed.

I didn't even mention the market acceptance forecast, rough order magnitude, responsibility assignment metrics, you name it.

So you need a partner to provide a serious business plan, or you need a partner to market your product to whoever could provide funding, or you need a CEO to take care of the OEM, or you need a partner to perform the distribution and sale support?

That's the reason you could consider this is a serious business, or you don't have to, just make some noise in this forum, hopefully you may hit a rich dummy who doesn't know how to donate his $10M, and you are just happen to be for his rescue.
