回复:Here is my feeling....

On the business side, China is becoming un-competable... thinking about massive production capability, verity of commodites and super low price.
I'm dealing with over 200 vendors in China... their abliltiy to do business is getting better and better every year.
For example, I can make a die cast replica car model in about 45 day with good price. Tell me if any other country can do it. I can ship 50 containers of electronics in 6 month from one factroy. Tell me again if anyother country can do it with my price.
The problem is that many China factories/businesses get cost squeezed down to every penny. If they can have more profit, lots of them willing to improve quality and process.
I do not agree saying 中国正以假货毒货征服世界. In US, there are many standards, but there is no reinforced standard telling Chinese factroy to match, at least not like RoSH standard in Europe. The buying companies in US are very price/profit driven.
Talking about Mattel, the whole thing is Mattel's problem. They own large factories in China. But sometimes, they can not make items with very low cost they want. They subcontract the order to other factories with very very cheap price. and the fire start from there...
