I received this letter last year and went to a dealer to check the emission related issues(unfortunatelt there was no problem found) and dealer changed the spark plugs, distributer rotor, cap and wire set; plus a complete oil change. Most likely the problem of engine stalling is usually not related to the emission faulty. Three possibilities could be there for your car stalling: vacuum leak; gas line faulty (filter and pump) and ignition. However, you should bring your car to dealership and have them check your car first. This free service may solve or alleviate your problem symptoms, you never know. Good luck with your car.
