"Asian can't see left and right"

The post reminds me last couple weeks ago, a national TV(forgot it was CBS or NBC) showed covered taxi drivers talking about race topics, when they initiated the topic about Asian, saying "Asian can't see left and right". So far I still don't know what that means.
