1) You child or the teacher should know Chinese.
2) You need to find the right one
3) You should be able to predict which book your child will use

The same thing can be dond for textbooks. A typilcal textbook cost at leaset USD$100. The same copy cost less than RMB100. If your kids happen to use the same (most likely the traditional) textbook. You will find a bargin in China.
