Are you talking about Headstart program?

In California there are state preschool programs called Headstart for children at preschool age but they are for low income families. So you have to qualify for them first. You may get information from school districts or check your phone book looking under preschools for state preschool programs. But shcool districts should have all the information. The teachers are licensed and curriculum is good. They have lots of funding so there are many activities and good facilities. I would have sent my son there if I hadn't shown them a big pay check. Later my coworkers were laughing at me.One of my coworkerAmerican) even let his wife apply the program instead of him because she's not working.
