never happen. Since you imagine that it would happen I responded with a more realistic answer. You fancied a merged country in favor of China and hope the Americans to accept a result that they don't like with the sheer number of people. They might argue that they possess everything why do they yield to the ruling of mass but poorer people. Consequently, I don't think that the americans will choose population as the standard for voting. They would choose the ones that they love instead. Nuclear warheads is just an example.
