應該找律師，這種情況應該很容易將案件dismiss掉
Question: If the case is dismissed, all the record will be cleared? Will that affect Green Card application? Does she need to mention this incident in the future?

As a reminder in case you forgot this is in regarding to the following issue:
一个朋友今天去商店购物交钱后推车出来， 报警器响了。后来才知道是有一张DVD落在shopping cart 的角落里忘了checkout.
当时没意识到她自己有问题还继续往前走，然后被security拦住。发现有DVD未交钱。
要交罚款并签一个商店保留起诉权的什么文件。她认为自己无罪，拒绝了。于是他们叫来了警察，把她带到警察局拍照并留指纹。还给了一张ticket.需要出庭。
我不认为她有罪，顶多是疏忽。
我想请问如果不清律师，她自己出庭是否有把握胜诉。她的英语一般。但是如果请律师 确实太贵了。
如果胜诉，会留任何记录吗？
