try the new X3. Pull down the rear seat center "table" which is large and has build-in cup holder, etc, very handy for kids. Plus, there will be more room below the little feets of the kids when they sit in the car seats so you can throw in the daycare bags, etc.
The X3 is in fact very peppy (AWD but rear drive when not kicked in), is not too big, and fun to drive (not like wife's Volve which I still think is a lady's SUV, not to mention the Rav4s, etc). It's loaded with safty features.
